Work of EMS in a cardiac arrest situation
Have you ever seen how an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest is managed in real-time? With limited resources, limited access, with an experienced and determined pre-hospital team? We will try to bring you a first-person view and lessons learned to get you started.
Work of EMS in Mass Casualty IncidentS
A mass casualty incident (MCI) describes an incident in which emergency medical services resources, such as personnel and equipment, are overwhelmed by the number and severity of casualties. The most common types of MCIs are generally caused by terrorism, mass-transportation accidents, fires or natural disasters. In this lecture, you will get to know the systems in place to turn utter chaos to well-managed order.
RESUSCITATION
In one intense day, you will get a chance to take part in a condensed Resuscitation course, adapted to match a medical student’s skill and knowledge level. It will be run by a team of extremely dedicated ERC-qualified instructors. You will take part in lectures, interactive workshops, skill stations and cardiac arrest simulations.
